The blaze, which broke out earlier today, affected approximately 40 households, leaving families displaced and in urgent need of assistance. While no fatalities have been reported, several individuals sustained minor burn injuries and have since received medical attention.
Responding promptly, Kenya Red Cross teams provided first aid and assisted in coordinating emergency relief efforts for those impacted. The organization is now assessing the needs of affected families to facilitate further support, including temporary shelter, food, and essential supplies.

Fires in informal settlements like Kibra pose significant challenges due to closely packed structures and limited access for emergency responders. This incident highlights the importance of community involvement and rapid response in disaster management.
Kenya Red Cross has urged well-wishers to support the affected families as they work towards recovery. More updates will follow as the situation develops.
